UltraAV on Windows allows you to schedule a scan. This is useful in case you want a full scan to take place while you are not actively using your computer, such as at night after you've gone to bed.
To schedule a scan, go to Scan Options > Schedule Scan.
The Schedule Scan screen gives you a lot of options. Let's go through them.
Scan Options
These options control what should be scanned, as well as what happens during the scan/after the scan.
Quick Scan: This is a quicker scan option, and focuses on scanning the most common places where malware hides. For more information, see the article How to perform a Quick Scan.
Full Scan: A full scan goes much more in-depth than a Quick Scan, and as such takes much longer to perform. These kinds of scans are perfect to schedule during times when you are not actively using your computer. For more information on Full Scans, see the article Perform a Full Scan on Windows.
Drive selector: In the box below Quick Scan and Full Scan, you'll see a list of drives attached to your computer. Here you can select which of your drive(s) should be scanned. You also have the option to Select all, to quickly select all of your drives.
Deep Scan: A deep scan goes more indepth than a Full Scan, and additionally searches for other suspicious behavior, such as .exe files which have been renamed into other file formats.
Shut down: When selected, this option will turn the computer off after the scheduled scan is completed. This option only takes effect if After scan is complete is checked.
Log off: When selected, this option will log the current user out after the scheduled scan is completed. This option only takes effect if After scan is complete is checked.
Scan Time
This dictates how often the scheduled scan will take place. Only one of these options can be selected at a time.
Daily: The scan will take place daily on the set time
Weekly: The scan will take place once a week on the set day
Hourly: The scan will take place every X hours
Minutes: The scan will take place every X minutes
