The USB Manager automatically scans any USB devices plugged into your computer. USB Manager helps to detect and block the potential of malicious attacks on systems via the use of some sort of external drive or device. You can edit your scan settings for auto or manual scans.
USB Manager has additional options to customize how USD devices should interact with your computer.
Total block
This blocks all USB devices plugged into your computer from interacting with your computer.
Read
Read is used to read (open) files to view its content. This prevents your computer from reading files on the USB drive.
Activity Log
This logs all the activity of plugged in USB devices, and allows you to read through the log file.
Autorun.inf Block
This blocks the Autorun.inf file files on the USB device from running. These files are often used to infect computers with malware whenever the USB drive is plugged into a computer.
Write
This prevents your computer from writing anything to the USB drive. Writing is done when you make changed to the USD drive, such as editing a file or moving files to/from a USB memory stick.
Execute
Execute refers to executing a command. In this case, launching files or programs. This option prevents your computer from running any files or starting any programs on any USB drive.
Block all phone devices
With this option enabled, all phones plugged into your computer will be blocked. As an example, this will prevent your iPhone from using iTunes to transfer files to/from your computer when it is plugged into your computer.
USB Whitelist
With this option enabled, you can whitelist USB devices, which should bypass any blocks you have configured through the USB Manager and USB Secure.
